I normally wear a small or medium. I ordered a large because I wanted something that skims my body but isn't tight. The large fits the bill. I'm 5'4" and it hits long enough on me to look cute with leggings, without looking like a too-long tunic that covers my entire backside. I've recently gained some weight due to some medicine I'm taking (my normal weight is 120lbs and I'm currently 140lbs), but this top makes me feel cute and not frumpy, and I think it'll still look good once the weight comes back off. It wouldn't really hide any lumps or bumps in the waist and belly region, but the large allows just enough room so my small pooch isn't noticeable. I can also easily wear this with jeans and it doesn't have to be worn long - but doesn't look all bunched up around my waist. It's thin material, and the label says hand wash, but I wash it on delicate in a load with lightweight items (no heavy towels), then dry it on low for 20 minutes and let it sit dry the rest of the way. Be sure to smooth the neckline out when you take it out of the dryer so you don't get folds in the neckline. Sounds complicated, but it's really super easy to do and the size smalls and mediums I've purchased in the past (when I was smaller) have held up very well.
